The Social Equity Task Force

In 2020, Gary Keller, executive chairman, and co-founder of Keller Williams, took the initiative to create the social equity task force. The task force aimed to present actionable recommendations to eliminate any racial disparity within our company, our industry, and take a leading role in fostering equitable communities where we operate.

To form the task force, each region nominated a social equity ambassador, while each market center appointed an ALC member as the social equity committee chair. Following months of self-examination, curiosity, and dialogue, Keller Williams leadership recognized that to truly embody our claimed values, our core culture must actively and unwaveringly promote inclusive, diverse, and equitable business practices.

In September 2020, the Keller Williams International Associate Leadership Council (IALC), responsible for ensuring Keller Williams remains a “By Agents, For Agents” organization through continuous associate and leadership involvement, voted unanimously to amend KW’s Belief System (WI4C2TES) by including “Equity: opportunities for all.”

The social equity task force maintains its dedication to education and training, forging community partnerships, increasing leadership opportunities, and fostering wealth-building in Black and historically marginalized communities.
